My Self
Like you, I am many things. I am a father, a husband, a physicist, an athlete, a songwriter. Like you, I am finding my way in this world as best I can. Like you, I observe, I listen, I experience, think and feel. Each moment is unique, fleeting, and almost instantly, a memory. What can we do? For me, lyrics and music, together, create an image, a story. My hope is that some of these songs will trigger a memory or elicit a reaction. If a song makes you feel sad, happy, angry, thoughtful, or moved to action... I will smile and be grateful you took time to listen.

Patrick Zahn. Owner Steel Door Gallery (Portland, Oregon)
"We were honored to have Ken Masarie in the gallery last week, where he performed an amazing show to a captive audience. One of the many highlights of the evening was Ken's ability to intertwine thoughtful storytelling into his music set. Ken's music and professionalism surpassed my expectation, I look forward to having him back."
Lori and Dan. Music aficionados (Portland, Oregon)
"Although we already loved the rich sound of Ken’s CDs, we appreciated the intimacy of his Steel Door Gallery performance. We connected to his music on an even more personal level, with some laughs thrown in! We had a great time!!"
BB. Music aficionado (Boulder, Colorado)
"Ken’s second album is an impressive expansion of his first album, A Lot To Learn. If the title of that first album is in any way accurate then Ken definitely went through a learning phase in terms of variety and accompanying musicians. This album has so much to sink your teeth into and will appeal to almost any musical taste. The listener will certainly identify with many, if not all, of the songs on this album in their own personal way. This album will leave you hungry for more of the same - ENJOY!!!"

"I found myself really enthralled by A Lot to Learn. The last time I can remember feeling this way was when Roy Orbison sang Pretty Woman. As you know that was a long time ago, which proves that I am neither easily nor frequently enthralled ‐ Ken’s music has everything that makes music truly great to me - rhythm, melody, and heart."
Don Ford. Music aficionado (Round Rock, Texas)
"I loved the house concert! It was perfect and it turned out to be a perfect Boulder evening in the foothills. I love Ken’s music and especially the lyrics. Looking forward to his next CD!"
